Name: Tom Long
Position: Managing Director

Tom set up PCE in July 2004, having gained ten years' experience as a professional engineer in the areas of consulting and contracting. Born and raised in the UK, Tom emigrated to Australia in 1999 and moved to Mackay in 2000. Qualified in civil and structural engineering, Tom now concentrates on project management and running the company.

Name: John McGarry
Position: Senior Civil Designer
Qualifications: Assoc. Dip. (C.Eng)

John has over 20 years' experience in detailed civil engineering design and documentation, including earthworks, road works, and stormwater, water and sewerage reticulation associated with infrastructure development. John has extensive experience working with the Department of Transport and Main Roads, which has included detailed design, documentation and project management. John is also a qualified Road and Safety Auditor registered with the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

Name: Caitie Becker
Position: Project Manager
Qualifications: MIEAust, BEng (Co-Op) Hons, Dip.Prof.Practice

Caitie has five years' experience in civil engineering design and project management, specialising in traffic impact studies, operational works applications and water sensitive urban design. Caitie is also proficient in water analysis, sewerage pump station design and other aspects of urban design.

Name: Peter Lea
Position: Structural Project Manager
Qualifications: BEng, Co-Op (Hons)

Peter has five years' experience in structural design, inspections, damage assessment and project management. Peter has extensive knowledge of using structural design programs to produce efficient designs.

Name: Jamie Williams
Position: Project Engineer
Qualifications: MEng (Hons)

Jamie joined PCE from the UK in April 2011. Jamie has over five years' civil engineering experience including design and project management, with experience in sewerage treatment works and water treatment works. Jamie has also design experience in haul roads, working platforms, specialist concrete shutters, cofferdams / retaining walls, temporary foundations and water retaining structures.

Name: Robert Elliott
Position: Project Engineer
Qualifications: MEng (Hons)

Robert joined PCE from the UK in April 2011. Robert has five years' experience in the fields of structural and civil engineering, and his experience spans bridge and building design, structural inspections, options reports, pavement design and site supervision.

Name: Robert Miller

Position: Civil Graduate Engineer

Robbie joined PCE from Ireland in Early 2012. After completeing his degree in Ireland he was determined to commence his career in Australia. Robbie's skills are quickly evolving, and he is continuously gaining experience as a Civil Engineer and a valuable member of the PCE team.

Name: Ashley Baker
Position: Civil Designer

Ashley joined PCE in 2011 and has seven years' experience in civil design. Ashley has a wide knowledge in his selected field, and is experienced in the design of subdivisions, Department of Transport and Main Road intersection designs, council road reconstructions, commercial car park design and water infrastructure upgrades. Ashley also has vast experience in residential unit development.

Name: Jose Betancur
Position: Civil Engineer

Jose joined PCE in 2011. He is a Civil Engineer with over six years experience in the design of concrete and steel structures, and a specialist in Quake Resistant Engineering. Jose is also experienced in Project management and the design of roads and civil infrastructure.

Name: Candice Dutton
Position: Engineering Assistant

Candice joined PCE in 2006 after working in the local industry. Candice is experienced in both civil and structural drafting and her well-organised nature and engineering proficiency lead to high-quality outputs delivered in an efficient and timely manner.

Name: Andrew Stott
Position: Cadet Civil Design Drafter

Andrew is the youngest member of PCE. He joined the company in January 2012 as a Cadet Drafter. Andrew's skills are quickly evolving as he works his way to becoming a qualified Civil Designer.

Name: Deanna Palmer
Position: Administrator / Accounts Officer

Deanna has over 30 years' experience in administration, customer service and bookkeeping. Deanna provides effective and proficient administrative solutions and takes care of all our office requirements, contributing to a successful business operation.

Name: Gaye McGarry
Position: Senior Administrator / Accounts Officer

Gaye has been with PCE since 2008 and has over 30 years' experience in customer service based industries, including seven years with the local regional council. Gaye looks after all aspects of our office operations effectively and efficiently and is ready to welcome you with a warm and friendly smile.

Name: Diva Gonzalez
Position: Assistant Administrator

Diva is our newest staff member. She has a Diploma in Human Resource Management, and has experience in personnel recruitment. Diva's role provides support to the administration and human resources department of PCE.
